Gambetta and Crary Clinic Showcase "American Music"
Island Guitars recently had the opportunity to present another Taylor Guitars guitar clinic. Little did we know that we would be presenting, not one, but TWO world class flat pickers. Beppe Gambetta and Dan Crary were coming to the Islands to do a concert in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, so they made a stop over into Honolulu to do the clinic.
The event was a great success and drew over 115 attendees through the door. Beppe and Dan "wowed" the crowd with their musicianship and their down-to-earth personalities. The event was also a benefit for the Hawaii Food Bank and we collected over 200 pounds of canned food items, plus cash donations. Both Mr. Gambetta and Mr. Crary also graciously donated a portion of their proceeds from their book and CD sales for the evening to the worthy cause.
Island Guitars wishes to thank Taylor Guitars for co-sponsoring the guitar clinic...to Victoria Ward Centers for donating the use of their facilities...to Mr. Gambetta and Mr. Crary for making magic with two guitars...and finally, to all those who attended that evening.
